Takoma Park, Maryland Residence

This residence, located in a contemporary neighborhood, was showing its age with only about 900 square feet of living space. The addition, an entirely new second floor, added approximately 1100 square feet of space to be used for a master suite, two guest bedrooms, bathroom, and sitting/reading alcove. The first level was altered slightly to allow for the new staircase, which had to blend in with the existing floorplan. To provide room for the new staircase, the existing bedroom was converted into a smaller, yet functional office. The existing exterior was also completely updated with new windows, doors, and hardie siding, for a more aesthetically pleasing look to blend in with the surrounding neighborhood.
