Staff & Experience

Kelly Tidwell, President of Elite Electrical is a licensed Master Electrician and Master Gas Fitter in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C, and West Virginia. Mr. Tidwell is also a licensed Class A Building Contractor that has performed both commercial and residential construction remodeling services and has been recognized as a Certified Remodeler by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

Kelly is a former Marine that received his initial construction experience working with a private contractor for the U.S. Department of State - Foreign Building Operations by providing construction and electrical services for Embassies and U.S. Government properties abroad. He began his contracting business (Keltid Construction 2000-2005; Elite Electrical 2005-Current) after returning to the US while also obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a minor in Accounting. While attending school he worked commercial construction as a general construction superintendent.


Stephanie Richards, Contract Administrator, is responsible for managing contracts, supplier negotiation, negotiating contract terms and conditions. She is responsible for managing the contract database and all associated files. Duties include assisting with contract development, administration, tracking, and analysis, as well as communication of supplier performance and contract compliance. Prepares and distributes reports and statistical data to facilitate planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files. Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on sourcing strategies, practices and procedures.

Jimmy McFarland, Generator Services Manager, is also a former Marine. He served as Electrical Section Head in the Marines from 2003-2007. He received his certificate in the Electrical Journeyman's Program in 2005 in Camp Lejuene, NC as well as a certificate as a Specialist in Electrical Equipment Repair. Jimmy is also a Certified Kohler Technician which he received in June of 2009.

Wayland Safford, Generator Services, is a former member of the US Army in which he worked in aviation. He has worked for Elite Electrical since November 2006, and a large portion of his electrical and generator skills were gained working with Elite Electrical. In addition to the years working for Elite, he has also been Kohler certified and finished his Virginia Tradesman Electrical Apprenticeship Training in June of 2010.

Frank Stankiewicz, Residential and Commercial Electrical Services, provides superior knowledge and quality services to all residential and commercial clients. Frank also recently finished his Virginia Tradesman Electrical Apprenticeship Training in 2010. He is due to receive his Electrical Journeyman’s certificate by the end of 2011.

Jose Salas, Residential Electrical Services, is a former member of the Chilean Navy where he worked on electronic navigation systems for 8 years. Jose completed his Virginia Tradesman Electrical Apprenticeship Training in 2010 and is due to receive his Journeyman certificate by the end of 2011.

Dave Matteson, Generator Services, is a former Marine and currently a member of the Marine Active Reserves. While in the Marines he served as a Explosive Ordinate Disposal. Dave also attended Kohler Training and received his certificate as a Certified Kohler Technician in November of 2010.
